Description

Metal injection molding is a metalworking process that combines metallic powder with binder material, which is then forced into a mold to create a desired shape.

Overview of Process

Metal injection molding is a modified form of the plastic injection molding process, where the base material is replaced with a metallic powder combined with a binder material. This is then injected into a mold, which creates the desired shape based on the shape of the mold. The workpiece then undergoes further processing, which removes the binder material.
