Description
Continuous casting involves pouring molten metal into a vertical or bent continuous mold, which shapes the metal into a workpiece and optionally alters its shape further, resulting in a workpiece that can be further processed.
Overview of Process
Continuous casting is a form of metal shaping where the molten metal is poured into a vertical or bent continuous mold, which shapes the metal as it cools down. Additional processes can also be performed at this time, or done by other methods at a later point.
