Description

Casting creates a workpiece by pouring a liquid material into a mold, allowing it to cool, then removing it from the mold.

Overview of Process

Casting is a process that creates a workpiece by pouring a liquid material (such as metal or plastic) into a mold, which has a cavity with a pre-defined shape. After the material has cooled, it is removed from the mold and can be processed further if needed.

Additional Notes

This is a classification process, not a end-node process. Specifying the detailed end-node process required will produce a better RfD search result.
