Butt welding is a method of welding (joining) two pieces of metal that are parallel to each other together in an easy fashion.

Butt welding is a method of joining two pieces of metal that are parallel to each other by melting part of the junction, which as it cools causes a joint between the two. This form of welding can be performed continuously by a machine.
